POWER-GEN Asia, the region’s premier conference and exhibition for the power generation and transmission and distribution industries, and co-located Renewable Energy World Asia saw an exciting and the busiest ever opening day, Wednesday 7th October, with top level speakers and a busy exhibition floor.
The opening of the event saw keynote speeches delivered by Lt. Dr. Prapas Limpabandhu, Vice Minister of Energy, Sutat Patmasiriwat, Deputy Governor – Generation of the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and Dong-Soo Suh, Executive Vice President Power Plant Business Group from Korean engineering giant Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Statement on the Swine Influenza Situation
The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on 30 April 2009 that the UN agency will now refer to the new influenza virus as influenza A (H1N1).
The Ministry of Public Health has collaborated with Airports of Thailand to closely monitor passengers with flu-like symptoms and strictly monitor those coming from countries affected by the disease.
